I Placed a copy on my web server. The address is http://myweb.cableone.net/okieman7/images/CaribouCentennial1959SmallFixed.jpg You can contact me at okieman7@cableone.net

Much has been happening as we prepare for to have the celebration that Caribou deserves! Although our grant application to the Maine Memory Network was not accepted, we were given positive feedback regarding submitting it for next year (2009). We are excited about the possibilities for collaborating with the Caribou schools, the Caribou Public Library, and the Caribou Historical Society, and submitting the grant appllication solidified the connections between all of us. The ideas continue to come in, and we appreciate everyone sharing their thoughts and suggestions. Our next meeting (June 25th) will be an important one, as we "winnow" down our long list of possible events and activities. We hope to see you at the CCC & I office on the 25th at 3:30......refreshments will be served and the atmosphere will be casual and fun.

Has there been any discussion about getting the Post Office to have a special cancel for mail commemorating the 150th Birthday of Caribou? I collect stamps and covers and would be very interested in having some special cancels from the event. My wife and I are planning to fly up there for the celebration, we'll make further plans as soon as we know the time frame.
